Calçotada is the quintessential feast in Catalonia.

Consiste en la ingesta de unas cebollas alargadas y finas cocinadas encima de llamas vivas y acompañada por una salsa tradicional llamada romesco.

Calçots are usually eaten from the end of autumn to the beginning of April and it is usually a community meal since it is usually accompanied by different dishes such as grilled meat or bread toast.
